2016 convention recap
Sunshine and Sisterhood
This was a weekend to remember! Delta Nu 2016 Chapter President, Courtney Norelius, House Corporation Board member, Marykay Gillam, Alpha Omicron Alpha Alumni Chapter President & Ritual and Fraternity Appreciation Advisor, Laura Michel were in attendance. Amber Zimmerman, an alumni of Delta Nu was also attending the convention!
Friday afternoon consisted of a wonderful welcome dinner and the convention body was addressed by the past National President, Diane Blackwelder. The weekend kicked off with dinner and conversations with sisters from across the country, all while in a beautiful meeting space at the JW Marriot. The walls of the foyer were decorated with timelines of our sisterhood and the summer themed lyre logo. Our hotel hosted upscale amenities, like a coffee shop, lobby bar & grill, and a fun filled outdoor oasis, all to be enjoyed in our free time!
Our National Chapter Meeting was conducted on Saturday in addition to many educational sessions that appealed to both the collegian and alumni. That evening, Amber, Courtney, and Marykay sat the Delta Nu reunion table for dinner and enjoyed a night of reminiscing about traditions of the chapter house!
The last day of convention was a day to finish up all chapter business, install the new positions, and learn more from education sessions and keynote speakers. As convention came to an end, we met with more sisters at the formal dinner and a dessert reception that followed. What's a better way to wrap up the weekend than delicious desserts with with life long sisters and friends? Of course, we did get some free time to enjoy the sunshine by the pool and the amazing sisterhood that Alpha Chi Omega provides us!
