The national philanthropy of Alpha Chi Omega is domestic violence awareness (DVA). Delta Nu works with ACCESS, a domestic abuse shelter located in Ames, IA. ACCESS helps women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. Not only do we hold two annual philanthropy events during the  school year, Alpha Chis volunteer at ACCESS.

Alpha Chi Omega's official philanthropy is Domestic Violence Awareness.
desserts after dark

Desserts After Dark was established in the fall of 2017. The birth of this event was in place of Walk a Mile in Their Shoes, which was more of an awareness event rather than a fundraiser. Desserts After Dark raises both awareness and funds. We had live music, desserts with the purchase of a ticket and interactive awareness engagement with those attending. We raised $3,300 this past fall, we were very proud of this amount as we accomplished spreading awareness along with fundraising locally for ACCESS.

Alpha Chi Quesadillas

Alpha Chi Quesadillas is our spring philanthropy event. We serve quesadillas, chips and queso and have an online auction in order to support ACCESS! This year, we were able to raise over $6,000 to support our local ACCESS shelter! Thank you to everyone who came to support our cause!

ACTS 2 COLLECTIVE

Acts2Collective is a non-profit organization run out of Ankeny, IA. Founded by Jacob Sullivan (a former ISU Basketball player), this organization extends support to various African communities, orphanages, and schools. They recently opened a women’s shelter for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Alpha Chi Omega sponsors Evelyn, and through this sponsorship, the shelter is able to provide food, clothing, and job training so that she will be able to support herself independently.
